About Accord

Accord is an early-stage, YCombinator startup (YC 2020) founded by early Stripe, Adobe, and Google Cloud employees. After years designing processes for their scaling multi-billion dollar sales orgs, they set out to focus on the underlying people problems associated with buying/selling technology.

Accord is a project management platform, purpose-built for B2B sales. It’s like Asana, Trello, or Atlassian, but uniquely customer-facing, so sales reps and buyers can work together on the same platform and stay aligned during complex sales cycles. This is often messy and organized using Excel Spreadsheets, email, and Slack.

You will be working with a company that’s given design a seat at the table from inception, with a founding team and advisors from design-driven companies like Stripe, Airbnb, and more. Our goal is to bring the quality of consumer products to the enterprise (think Stripe, Dropbox, Slack). This is an opportunity to put your mark on promising company's product, brand, and experience from start to finish.

  • We have very high expectations for design - it must be functional and beautiful

  • Full-time availability for the next 2 - 3 months

About Accord

Accord is an early-stage, YCombinator startup (YC 2020) founded by early Stripe, Adobe, and Google Cloud employees. After years designing processes for their scaling multi-billion dollar sales orgs, we set out to focus on the underlying people problems associated with buying/selling technology.

It’s like Asana, Trello, or Atlassian, but uniquely customer-facing, so sales reps and buyers can work together on the same platform and stay aligned during complex sales cycles. This is often messy and organized using Excel Spreadsheets, email, and Slack.

We’re an international (Canadian, Italian, Indian) team, and passionate about building an inclusive, design-first company. We also have early traction with paying customers and a live product.

About the Role

We’re seeking a design lead to join the founding team and shape Accord into an industry-leader in design. Our goal is to bring the quality of consumer products to the enterprise (think Stripe, Dropbox, Slack). This is an opportunity to define and design a promising company's product, brand, and experience from start to finish.

We're in a unique position to change the way sales teams and buyers collaborate, and you'll be directly responsible for crafting that experience. You’ll use your range of skills in product, interaction, and visual design to elevate our existing foundation into a unified experience. Your primary responsibility is product design. As an early designer, you’ll also have the flexibility and initiative to take on design challenges that are important to the company, including brand, marketing materials, pitch decks, and more.

You would be joining a company that’s given design a seat at the table from inception, with a founding team and advisors from design-driven companies like Stripe, Airbnb, and more. Our team is nimble, so you’ll own your vision and get to see your work come to life in days rather than months. At the same time, we value quality work and giving you the space to do it.

Requirements

  • You seek opportunities to solve problems in innovative ways
  • You have experience designing for the web and shipping production-level designs
  • You love making things beautiful and have a deep understanding of composition, balance, symmetry, and white space, as well as visual tools, such as Sketch and Figma
  • You understand the technical limitations behind your decisions and can communicate your ideas to our engineers in prototyping tools or code
  • Minimum of 4 years of design experience

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Figma
  • Experience with frontend code
  • Experience with product management
  • Experience with early-stage startups
